Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Vietnam
If we leave here without getting run over it will be a successful trip, were my first thoughts after arriving in Ho Chi Minh City.
The former town of Saigon is not for the faint of heart. While dodging locals using the sidewalk as an express lane on their motor bikes, you also need to maneuver the pop up shops and restaurants on the sidewalk and people napping. Which leaves very little room for pedestrians. The controlled chaos added to the vibe of this hot and rainy city where crossing the street is a an olympic sport.
Also, the local fashion is just as bold as the area's spicy food. The food and coffee are worthy of a visit to this city that does not have many must see museums and cultural places. Ho Chi Minh is a city best explored by drinking and eating local food and then engaging in the favorite pastime…taking a nap.
