My arrival into the Lowlands of Scotland as a colorful sunset was setting over the rugged landscape made me realize why Scotland is a place of inspiration for writers and musicians alike going back centuries. The well preserved neo-classic and gothic architecture of Edinburgh made for wonderful walks around the Old and New Towns both of which are UNESCO sites.
