After reading the Outlander series I knew I had to visit the Highlands of Scotland. My inner book nerd felt a calling to see the land described so beautifully by Diana Gabaldon. The vast, inhabited and untouched landscape was breathtaking but add on top the legends, mysticism and the history it made for an incredible journey.
