In the northern part of Spain is Basque Country which even though they are part of Spain the Basque people have their own flag, language and an independent spirit. In the beach town of San Sebastián (Donostia in Euskara the local language) the gorgeous two mile promenade is where you go to cool off and relax under the watchful eye of the Jesus statue that looks down on the beach from the top of a near by hill.
