To be honest I had no idea what to really expect from Budapest. I knew very little regarding the country's history, customs, and culture. When Budapest was added to our travel plans the image I had regarding the city was exotic architecture. My thoughts now regarding Budapest are I want to return and soon! This is a city that is quickly changing, and needs to be explored and enjoyed before the character and grit are removed and it becomes gentrified. This is a place that has breathtaking architecture, beautiful parks and squares, and fabulous wines.
